Born in Lakeland, FL. Thomas Brooks grew up around the swamps, rivers and lakes of Central Florida. Working in acrylics on canvas he captures the true color and atmosphere of old Florida. A self taught artist, he spends many hours in the field to produce that “I’ve been there” feeling in his paintings. He has won several turkey stamps and National Wild Turkey Federation awards. Thomas has been selected to participate in nearly every major art show in the nation. He has been selected as the 2008 featured artist for the Southeastern Wildlife Conference in Charleston S C.. Thomas’s art hangs in some of the most prestigious private collections, museums, and corporate offices in the country. |
